HELP MAUI NOW

On August 8th, 2023, Maui faced an unprecedented disaster as four devastating fires broke out, consuming over 2,200 acres. The toll on our community has been heart-wrenching, with approximately 114 lives lost and over 1,000 individuals still missing. As we grapple with this unimaginable tragedy, the need for support and solidarity has never been greater.

Community support and unity have been vital in these trying times.

Hui Aloha Aina Momona and Aloha Organic have joined forces to address the urgent needs of our community. Together, we aim to provide stability to those affected by these devastating fires.

Our immediate focus is on securing long-term storage of two of the most fundamental necessities: water and food. Maui families and individuals who have been displaced by the fires are in need of these critical resources to rebuild their lives.

SURVIVAL ESSENTIALS

Water Buffalo Water Trailers

During this time on Maui, water trailers are essential. These units transport water across rugged terrain, delivering hydration to affected areas. Designed for challenging environments, they reach even remote wildfire spots, supplying crucial water. Filled from sources, they aid communities at distribution points, addressing a fundamental need for survival during the crisis.

Refrigeration and Freezing

Food storage is of utmost importance during a natural disaster. Ensuring a secure supply of sustenance becomes a priority. Proper storage guarantees that resources remain edible and safe for consumption. This readiness minimizes waste and optimizes available provisions. Having a well-prepared food supply alleviates pressure on relief efforts, providing crucial nourishment to individuals and communities until stability returns.
